October 20, 2011 - The first half of 2011 has seen steady growth for Newcastle-under-Lyme's Bibby Consulting & Support.
The specialist in employment law and health and safety legislation has seen year-on-year growth of 4 per cent, which in the current business climate represents significant progress in times that remain difficult, particularly for the SME sector.
As part of that growth, Bibby Consulting & Support had its most successful single month in three years. In March, the company did more business than at any time since 2008.
These positive statistics follow the senior-level appointments of Steven Attwood as new Head of Projects, closely followed by Jon Taylor as new Tele-marketing Operations Manager and the promotion of Bill Collins as new Head of Department for SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment and Quality). Bibby Consulting & Support has also taken on a dozen more new employees in various departments.
Managing Director Michael Slade puts the "excellent" results down to two key factors.
“More and more industry leaders recognise that external professional help is a very cost effective route to manage HR and Health and Safety issues,” he says, “and also we’ve concentrated hard on refining our service and advice on both employment law and health & safety matters. As legal requirements have changed, we’ve endeavoured to ensure that our clients are ‘ahead of the curve’ in terms of understanding those changes and the consequences of non-compliance. Our proposition says that we offer clients ‘peace of mind’ – and they increasingly recognise the value of that.”
Slade adds: "Over the last couple of years, we’ve put in place a number of changes which we hoped and expected would be to the benefit of clients – building our internal capability driven by our commitment to deliver. In the first half of this year we have begun to see the impact of those changes in terms of sustained and managed growth.
"So we are pleased but not surprised that an increasing number of company directors and senior managers are turning to Bibby Consulting & Support for help and advice."
