July 26, 2011 - With its contemporary good looks, unrivalled performance and a host of high-tech features, the latest addition to the Italy range from Broseley Fires is designed to set new standards for wood burning boiler cookers.
Available to order from August, the 18.5 kW Italy boiler cooker has been approved by DEFRA for use in smoke control areas and boasts efficiency figures of 83 per cent.
Apart from its good looks, what really makes the Italy stand out is the ease of installation to a sealed heating systems found in most modern homes.
Broseley Product Development Engineer, Tristan Johnson, explained: “The new boiler cooker incorporates our unique Safety Cold Water System (SCWS) solid fuel boilers to be fitted onto new or existing sealed central heating systems without requiring additional pipework and controls to vent the boiler.
“This also makes it easy to connect to other energy-saving heat sources such as solar panels or ground source heat pumps through connection via a thermal store or low loss header.
“The Italy boiler cooker is therefore the ideal choice for anyone looking to reduce their fuel costs or carbon footprint without sacrificing on style.”
Adding to the Italy’s appeal is its ability to fit seamlessly into any kitchen, without the need for clearance space and an unsightly gap between the cooker and surrounding units. Other features include a large viewing window and attractive stainless steel finish in addition to air and oven temperature controls.
Tristan continued: “The new boiler cooker is an important addition to the Italy range, which is already proving a huge success.
“Furthermore, as part of a government incentive scheme to promote environmentally-friendly home heating, the Italy boiler cooker is subject to reduced VAT of 5% to end users.
