LOCAL BUSINESS NOMINATED FOR THREE AWARDS

June 22, 2010 - A Stoke based, international company has recently been told that they are among the finalists for three prestigious industry awards. Hoppecke Industrial Batteries Ltd, based in Newcastle-Under-Lyme, has achieved the triple nominations for the UK Warehouse Association (UKWA) Awards. The company, which locally employs 70 people, has been nominated for the customer services award, the environmental award and the technological/innovation award.

Hoppecke’s nominations are based around its new, industry leading, trak® air battery system. The system allows users of DC energy systems to minimise energy costs by reducing energy consumption. This new innovation also acts as a data management system and has a profound effect by lowering an industrial fleet’s carbon footprint.

To apply for the awards Hoppecke has to issue detailed written submissions; the company was then put through rigorous scrutiny to attain the nominations. The winners of the award will be announced at a gala launch held by the UKWA at The Dorchester Hotel, London on 7th July.

“We’re all very excited by the nominations,” said Bernard Molloy, Managing Director of Hoppecke. “To reach the finals in three of the categories is already an achievement. It’s a great testament to the company’s service and environmental ethos and to my dedicated team of colleagues. Quite simply, we all pull together to drive the business forward.”
