May 26, 2011 - Businesses across the country are being given the opportunity to learn how to cope with potentially stressful employment tribunals thanks to a mock tribunal event being run by Bibby Consulting & Support, specialist in employment law and health and safety legislation.
The event – to be held in London on 21 June 2011 – will help company owners, human resource directors and senior managers to prepare themselves for the possibility that their company could be involved in litigation with an employee.
In this interactive and practical course, two of Bibby Consulting & Support's expert advocates will re-enact a courtroom scene showing exactly how a tribunal is carried out. Those who attend the course will have the choice of acting as a member of the tribunal panel or being cross-examined. Alternatively, they can simply watch what happens from a safe distance!
The purpose of the course is to enable business leaders to improve their chances of a successful outcome at an employment tribunal. Not only will they be able to respond better under cross-examination but by being more confident they should be able to minimise the level of stress that they go through.
Also, senior staff could save their companies thousands of pounds by Bibby CAS's advocates making them aware of classic mistakes that can easily be avoided.
Says Managing Director Michael Slade: "Irrespective of the size of your business, or how well your staff are managed, having to defend a case at an employment tribunal is becoming an increasingly likely event for employers in the UK. Our mock tribunals offer managers and directors a realistic insight into what it's like to be involved in the real thing – many of them have found it to be an invaluable experience."
The course will be held on 21 June 2011 from 9.30am to 4.30pm at the Executive Communication Centre Ltd, 3 Bunhill Row, London EC1Y 8YZ. The cost for clients of Bibby Consulting & Support is £349 + VAT and for non-members £399 + VAT. Companies looking to book a place should e-mail
or call 08453 100600.
