December 17, 2010 - Briggs Equipment UK, a leading supplier of forklift trucks and warehouse equipment, has renewed its sponsorship of the Cannock Indoor Pairs Crown Green Bowling League. The deal will provide support for local bowlers who are based at the Cannock Chase Leisure Centre. The sponsorship sees the total prize money for the winter season raised to £900.
Formed in 1994, the league involves three divisions of eight pairs competing every Sunday from November through to February each year. Secretary, Mel Evans commented: “We are delighted that Briggs Equipment UK has renewed its sponsorship for this popular and well established sport. It is good to have such a large local company supporting us.”
Sally Baker, Marketing Manager for Briggs Equipment said: “We are delighted to be continuing our sponsorship of the Indoor Bowls league. Pastimes and hobbies such as these wouldn’t be able to continue without sponsorship. As a company, we’re more than happy to play a pro-active part in encouraging healthier lifestyles and bringing the local community together.”
Following the sponsorship, the league will now be known as the Briggs Equipment Indoor Bowls League. Briggs Equipment UK is the sole distributor of Yale Materials Handling lift trucks and warehouse equipment in Great Britain, offering a range of trucks suitable for all applications.
