August 01, 2008 - Cooper Specialised Handling, the UK’s sole national distributor of Baumann sideloaders, will be revealing the latest range of Baumann sideloaders at the W8 exhibition in Birmingham this October. This is not only the first time that Baumann has exhibited in the UK, it will also be the first time that visitors get to see the updated range of HX, GX and GS machines from 4 to 7 tonnes capacity.
The Cooper SH stand at W8* will feature the new range of sideloaders, produced by Baumann in Cavaion, Italy. The HX, GX and GS ranges above 5 tonnes capacity now incorporate a new cab design which increases visibility and improves operator access; both of which are crucial in preventing accidents and improving safety when handling long goods in tight spaces.
Managing director of Cooper SH, David Cooper, says, “Baumann is arguably the world’s largest sideloader manufacturer and we welcome the challenge of raising its profile in the UK market. The W8 exhibition is the perfect showcase for the updated Baumann product offering.”
The new cab design also significantly reduces noise and vibration levels, ensuring compliance with new legislation and increasing operator comfort. Mr Cooper adds, “By introducing this new range of products where the comfort of the operator is paramount, drivers are not only more comfortable in their truck, they perform their day-to-day tasks more efficiently and productively.”
Baumann sideloaders, which include 3 to 45t IC engine machines, 3 to 7t electric and the Foxx multidirectional four-wheel drive sideloader, have a rugged base construction, low maintenance requirements and are built to a high specification. Recognising that the 5 tonne capacity sideloader accounts for around 85% of the UK market, Baumann has extended its 5 tonne range to offer four different versions tailored to the demands of specific applications. Unlike other sideloaders, where one machine has to cope with a variety of work, this unique range has four specialised machines. Normal duty, heavy duty and extra heavy duty machines are available together with an option for long distance applications where customers may require machines to travel up to 40 miles a day.
Cooper Specialised Handling now supplies and services Baumann products throughout the UK and Northern Ireland.
