February 06, 2007 - Trevor Clifton of Briggs Equipment UK, based in Cannock, has been honoured at the Fork Lift Truck Association Awards for Excellence, winning the award for Service to the Fork Lift Truck Industry.
Trevor, Technical Services Manager at Briggs, was honoured for his inventive approach to engineering spanning three decades. His many achievements have meant a succession of practical innovations that have raised the bar for the rest of the industry, such as introducing specially adapted machines for the armed forces, and speed indicators and control systems for internal-combustion engine trucks.
The awards, held on the 3rd February, are universally recognised throughout the materials handling industry.
Richard Close, CEO of Briggs Equipment UK said, “This places Trevor among only a handful of people to have won this prestigious award, and acts as a testament to the hard-work and dedication he has put into the fork lift truck industry over the past 30 years. He is a true ambassador for the industry, the local community and Briggs Equipment.”
