September 04, 2008 - Briggs Equipment, the UK’s national Cat Lift Truck distributor and service provider, has added a new model to its range: the NO20NT stand-on low level order picker.
The NO20NT offers a 2.0 tonne lift capacity and has a 1,928mm wheelbase, as well as its forks measuring 1,150mm in length. The NO20NT, which can travel at a maximum speed of 9km/h, features a simple tiller arm control, designed for comfortable operation.
“The new model is perfect for users who require a simple, straightforward and cost-effective order picking solution,” says Tony Rooney, sales and marketing director at Briggs Equipment. “It extends the Cat range of low-level order pickers to tailor to every conceivable configuration. The trucks are suited to both first and second level order picking and either single or double pallet handling operations.”
Briggs’ extensive array can now be divided into two groups: the short wheelbase NOL-N, a 1.0 tonne truck range and the longer wheelbase, NO-N trucks. These longer wheelbase units range from the NO10NSF - a 1.0 tonne machine with rising forks, to the NO20NSP which is a 2.0 tonne unit with a rising platform.
Standard features of the new NO20NT include battery protection, through the use of a battery discharge indicator, that incorporates a lift cut-out function. Operators will benefit from driver-specific settings and each unit has a service counter indicating when scheduled maintenance is due.
All of the trucks benefit from fast acceleration and excellent manoeuvrability with automated speed reduction in curves. In addition, the steering-wheel equipped models have a multi-function display that provides critical information to operators about key truck functions, such as drive wheel direction and truck speed.
