Gavin Wickham started his career in the materials handling industry as a field service engineer working for Kalmar in 1988 then moving on to Lex Harvey in 1996. He then progressed through the ranks working for Finning following Lex Harvey then Briggs Equipment in the positions of service controller, service manager, regional service manager, operations manager and then operations director. The early part of his career was spent working and living in the Norfolk area but Gavin relocated himself and his family into the midlands following his successful application into the position of regional service manager for Finning in 2004.
